In Singapore, all moneylenders must be licensed by the Ministry of Law's Registry of Moneylenders. Borrowing from a licensed moneylender means your rights are protected under the Moneylenders Act — with caps on interest rates, regulated fees, and clear contractual obligations. Unlike unlicensed lenders (commonly known as loan sharks or "Ah Long"), licensed moneylenders operate within a strict legal framework. Interest rates are capped, hidden charges are prohibited, and all terms must be disclosed in writing before you sign any agreement. Best Licensed Moneylender Pte Ltd has been serving borrowers in Singapore with integrity and transparency. Located at 13 North Bridge Road, our team is committed to helping you access the funds you need — quickly, legally, and with full clarity on repayment terms.

Licensed Moneylenders: What You Should Know Before BorrowingBorrowing money can be challenging, particularly for newcomers from abroad. Even locals often face difficulties when seeking loans from traditional banks. However, the presence of a reputable licensed moneylender, whose operations are regulated by the Ministry of Law, provides a reliable and secure alternative for individuals in need of quick cash. Unfortunately, some locals and foreigners in urgent financial situations fall prey to loan shark offers. These illicit lenders engage in high-risk and unregulated activities, manipulating loan terms and pressuring vulnerable borrowers into making exorbitant payments. Moreover, they resort to harassment tactics against borrowers who default on payments, fail to meet their obligations or seek assistance from authorities. Therefore, it is essential to familiarize oneself with licensed moneylenders and exercise caution before borrowing from them.
