“Best vs Lending Bee — should I choose the lender with the lower rate, the more manageable monthly repayment or the lender with more convenient features?”
That is a more useful question than simply asking which lender is “best”. Start with the approved interest rate and the monthly repayment you can genuinely manage. Branches, Sunday opening and an app can make the process easier, but they are quality-of-life factors after you know the loan cost fits your budget. The right fit can also depend on where you need to visit, how you prefer to apply and what the final contract says.
Important: Best Licensed Moneylender Pte Ltd publishes this article and is one of the lenders compared. This is not an independent review. It uses Best’s and Lending Bee’s public information together with Ministry of Law guidance. It is general information, not a personalised recommendation or a promise of approval.
Best may suit someone whose approved rate and monthly repayment fit better, and who prefers a central North Bridge Road location and the step-by-step support described in Best’s public information.
Lending Bee may suit someone whose approved rate and monthly repayment fit their budget, and who also values a choice of branches or Sunday access.
Its app may also matter to someone who wants to check balances and instalments digitally. That is useful, but it should come after comparing the cost and repayment burden of the actual offers.
Neither point proves that one lender is cheaper, faster, easier or more suitable for every borrower.
Branch count is a convenience factor.
An app is a management feature.
Neither replaces checking the approved rate, fees, instalments, total repayment and your ability to repay.
The sensible comparison starts with the numbers: what is the approved rate, what is the monthly repayment and does it fit an ordinary month? After that, compare where you will complete verification, what information you can review before deciding and which quality-of-life features may make the process easier.
The clearest non-price difference is location choice. The Ministry of Law Registry dated 1 August 2026 lists Best Licensed Moneylender at 13 North Bridge Road, #01-3984, Golden Beach Vista, Singapore 190013, under licence 48/2026. It lists Lending Bee Pte. Ltd. under licence 41/2026, while Lending Bee’s own branch page says it operates four branches: Far East Plaza, Yishun Central 1, Bedok North Street 1 and Jurong Gateway Road.
Lending Bee’s own branch page describes four branches and says they are open on Sundays from 10am to 6pm, subject to public-holiday closures. Best’s current public site states Monday to Saturday hours of 11am to 7pm and identifies its North Bridge Road office.
If you live or work near Orchard, Bedok, Yishun or Jurong East, Lending Bee’s branch choice may reduce travel. If North Bridge Road is more convenient for you, one Best location may be enough. The important point is not that more locations automatically mean better service; it is whether the location and hours work for your situation.
Not automatically. Four branches can be useful if you work shifts, travel across Singapore or need a Sunday appointment. It can also mean that you have more locations to check before travelling.
But branch convenience should not outrank the cost of the loan. A nearby office does not make an unaffordable instalment affordable. Before accepting an offer, read the contract and check the amount you will actually receive, the approved interest rate, every fee, the instalment schedule, the total repayment and the late-payment terms.
Lending Bee’s branch page lists four locations:
Far East Plaza in Orchard;
Bedok North Street 1;
Yishun Central 1; and
Jurong Gateway Road in Jurong East.
The Registry is the authority for checking that a business name, licence number and approved location match. Website descriptions and map listings can change, so check the current Registry before sharing personal information.
Best’s current public material advertises rates as low as 1.01% per month (12.12% p.a.), subject to assessment. Lending Bee’s personal-loan page states that licensed-moneylender interest is capped at 4% per month, and its public material describes rates and approval as subject to assessment and Ministry of Law rules.
These figures are not automatically a like-for-like price ranking. One is a starting-rate advertisement and the other is a legal maximum. They may also involve different loan amounts, tenures, calculation methods and borrower profiles. For a fair comparison, compare the same principal, tenure, calculation method and fee treatment for both actual approved offers.
When comparing an offer from each lender, read the same details from both:
the amount you will actually receive;
the approved monthly rate and how it is calculated;
any upfront administrative fee or other permitted charge;
the monthly instalment and due dates;
the total amount repayable;
the late-payment interest and late fee; and
the repayment method.
The Ministry of Law says borrowers should shop around, borrow only what they can repay and fully understand the contract, repayment schedule, interest rate and applicable fees.
Both lenders describe an online starting point using Singpass or MyInfo. That does not mean the whole loan transaction happens online.
Lending Bee’s personal-loan page says applicants can apply online with Singpass, then visit a branch for identity verification and contract signing before disbursement. Best’s current public guidance describes Singpass/MyInfo applications, assessment, appointment and disbursement after the required steps.
Think of the process as separate steps:
Submit information for an assessment.
Receive an indication or response from the lender.
Attend the required face-to-face verification at the approved office.
Read the contract and ask about anything unclear.
Sign only after you understand the amount, costs and repayment schedule.
Receive any approved disbursement according to the contract.
Any timing stated by a lender is a published claim, not a guarantee of approval, funds or a particular loan amount.
It could be useful if you prefer to check your loan information digitally. Lending Bee says its app lets borrowers check their loan balance, track instalments and stay organised after approval.
That may help with visibility and reminders. It does not prove that the loan has a lower total cost, that approval is more likely or that the repayment will suit you.
Ask yourself a simple question: will the feature help you make repayments on time, or are you choosing it because the loan itself is affordable and understood? The app is a secondary convenience. The contract and your monthly budget matter more.
Lending Bee’s branch page says its branches open on Sundays from 10am to 6pm and close on public holidays. That may matter if weekday visits are difficult or if you need to complete a branch appointment around work or family commitments.
Sunday access is still only a scheduling advantage. It is not a reason to rush into borrowing. Use the extra convenience to ask questions, read the contract carefully and decide whether the repayment fits your budget.
The Ministry of Law states that the maximum interest rate licensed moneylenders can charge is 4% per month. It also states that late interest is capped at 4% per month on the overdue amount, late repayment fees cannot exceed $60 per month, and the upfront administrative fee cannot exceed 10% of the principal. Total charges on a loan cannot exceed an amount equivalent to the principal.
Before visiting either lender:
Check the lender’s legal name, licence number, approved address and official website against the current Registry.
Use the official website or verified contact route rather than an unsolicited loan message.
Never share your Singpass password or one-time codes.
Read the full contract, repayment schedule, fees and late-payment terms.
Do not respond to unsolicited loan advertisements or transfer money on the pretext of GST or processing fees before disbursement.
Keep your own records of the application, contract and repayments.
The Registry warns borrowers not to borrow from unlicensed moneylenders, to avoid unsolicited loan approaches and to verify the lender’s physical and website address against the official list.
Best may suit you if you:
prefer the North Bridge Road location;
want a single central office to visit;
value the clear process information on Best’s public site; or
are comparing a Best offer with another lender’s offer and want to examine the total cost carefully.
Lending Bee may suit you if you:
want a choice of Orchard, Bedok, Yishun or Jurong East locations;
need Sunday access subject to the branch’s stated hours;
prefer an app for checking balances and instalments; or
want to begin online and complete verification at a branch.
These are possible fits, not promises. The actual choice should follow the approved offer, the contract and your repayment ability.
Ask both lenders the same questions:
How much will I actually receive after permitted fees or deductions?
What is the approved monthly rate and how is it calculated?
What is the monthly instalment?
What is the total amount I will repay?
When are instalments due?
What happens if a payment is late?
Where will face-to-face verification and signing take place?
What repayment methods are available?
What should I do if I do not understand a clause in the contract?
If the answer is unclear, pause and read the contract again before signing. You do not need to choose a lender simply because the office is nearby or the process sounds fast.
There is no universal winner.
The first question should be which lender gives you an approved rate and monthly repayment that fit your budget. Best’s current public material advertises rates as low as 1.01% per month, subject to assessment, while Lending Bee’s public material presents a regulated process and a maximum-rate framework rather than a directly comparable starting-rate offer. Once the cost works, Best may be the more convenient fit for someone who prefers North Bridge Road and a direct, central process. Lending Bee may be the more convenient fit for someone who values multiple branches, Sunday access or app-based loan tracking.
The safer decision is the one you can explain clearly: how much you receive, how much you repay, when you repay it, what fees apply and whether the monthly amount fits your circumstances. Read the contract and verify the lender against the current Registry before deciding.

The 1 August 2026 Ministry of Law Registry lists Lending Bee Pte. Ltd. under licence 41/2026 with approved locations including Far East Plaza, Bedok North, Yishun Central and Jurong Gateway Road. Check the current Registry before applying because licence and location records can change.
Is Best cheaper than Lending Bee?
Is Best cheaper than Lending Bee?
You cannot answer that from a starting rate and a maximum rate alone. Best’s public site advertises rates as low as 1.01% per month, subject to assessment. Lending Bee’s public personal-loan material refers to a regulated maximum of 4% per month. Compare both actual approved offers for the same amount, tenure, calculation method and fee treatment.
Does Lending Bee have more branches than Best?
Does Lending Bee have more branches than Best?
The current Registry lists Lending Bee at multiple approved locations, while Best is listed at North Bridge Road. Lending Bee’s branch page describes four branches and Sunday hours from 10am to 6pm, subject to public-holiday closures. More branches may be more convenient, but they do not prove better service or more suitable loan terms.
Can I apply online with either lender?
Can I apply online with either lender?
Both lenders describe an online application route. Lending Bee says applicants then visit a branch for identity verification and contract signing. Best’s public guidance also describes assessment followed by the required verification and appointment steps. Applying online does not remove the need to follow the lawful face-to-face process.
Does Lending Bee’s app make its loan better?
Does Lending Bee’s app make its loan better?
The app may be useful for checking balances and instalments because Lending Bee describes those functions on its public site. It does not by itself prove that a loan is cheaper, easier to repay or more suitable. Read the contract and compare the complete repayment cost.
