Comparing Best (Best Licensed Moneylender Pte Ltd) with 1-Cash? Start with the interest and repayment you would actually be offered. Then ask whether Best's North Bridge Road office or 1-Cash's Tampines location fits the visit you need to make.
Best's personal-loan page advertises rates from 1.01% per month (12.12% p.a.) for eligible applicants, subject to assessment.[12] The published rate statement does not say who qualifies for that starting rate. Ask at assessment whether it applies to you and, if not, what rate would. If Best's North Bridge Road office works for you, the team can explain the assessed costs and repayment schedule before you decide.[2]
Important: Best Licensed Moneylender Pte Ltd publishes this article and is one of the lenders compared. This is not an independent review. Best's published rate was rechecked on 29 September 2026; other lender and Ministry of Law source captures are dated 28 September 2026. Any customer comments mentioned are selected material displayed by lenders, not an independent or representative review audit. This is general information, not a personal recommendation or a promise of approval.
Best may suit you if you want to discuss a published starting rate and have the proposed costs and due dates explained at its North Bridge Road office. Best describes that process; selected comments it displays also mention helpful service and clear explanations.[12][2] The useful test is what the team can show you for your own application.
1-Cash's Tampines location and published Sunday opening could make the required visit easier if you live in the east or can only visit on a Sunday.[1][7] Check its availability, then ask for a written offer for the same amount and repayment period as Best's.
Write down the amount you need to receive and when you could start repaying it. Ask each lender to show you:
the principal and any permitted upfront fee;
the net amount paid to you;
the approved interest rate and repayment period;
every instalment, due date and total amount repayable; and
what happens if you pay late.
A payment that looks smaller each month may cost more over a longer repayment period. The Ministry of Law advises borrowers to shop around and understand interest, fees and the repayment schedule before signing.[10]
Best advertises from 1.01% per month (12.12% p.a.) for eligible applicants, subject to assessment.[12] Ask Best what rate would apply to your proposed loan, whether an upfront fee would be charged, how much would actually be disbursed and what you would repay altogether. A starting rate by itself does not tell you the cost of your contract.
Ask 1-Cash for the same figures, for the same amount and period. These published statements are not two comparable personal quotes, so they cannot show whether Best would cost you less. The law's maximum interest rate is a cap, not a quoted Best or 1-Cash price.[10] Compare the assessed written offers rather than a legal limit or a website headline.
If Best offers a repayment you understand and can manage, that is a stronger reason to choose it than convenience alone. If the terms do not fit, do not borrow because the starting rate looked attractive.
Suppose you know the monthly instalment but not why the amount paid out is smaller than the principal on the agreement. Ask Best to explain any permitted fee and the repayment schedule before you sign. Best says it explains costs and repayment at that stage.[2]
Selected customer comments displayed by Best mention clear explanations and helpful service.[2] 1-Cash also displays selected comments about loan terms being explained properly and helpful staff.[8] We have not independently audited those comments or established that they represent all borrowers. They cannot answer what either lender would offer you. The Ministry of Law says a lender must explain the contract in a language you understand and provide a copy.[10] Ask until the actual amounts and dates make sense.
The Registry dated 1 September 2026 lists Best at 13 North Bridge Road, #01-3984, Golden Beach Vista, Singapore 190013, and 1 - Cash Pte. Ltd. at 8 Tampines Central 1, #01-17, Eastlink Mall, Singapore 529543.[1] Best publishes Monday to Saturday hours of 11am to 7pm and says it is closed on Sundays and public holidays.[2] 1-Cash publishes Sunday opening, but its own pages give different Sunday closing times.[6][7]
If North Bridge Road is on your route, ask Best about an appointment. If Sunday in Tampines is your practical option, confirm 1-Cash's current hours and appointment availability before going. The office visit matters because a licensed lender must verify identity face to face at its approved office before granting a loan.[9] An easier journey does not tell you which repayment is better.
Best describes starting through Singpass Myinfo, then visiting its North Bridge Road branch for the face-to-face identity verification required before a loan is granted.[12] 1-Cash describes starting through Singpass or a contact form and then visiting its office.[7][6] Neither online route completes a licensed loan entirely remotely; the physical identity check remains required.[9]
Before taking time off work, ask Best what documents you should bring and when an appointment is available. Ask 1-Cash the same. An application submission is not an approval or a promise of disbursement. Use your own Singpass credentials; the Ministry of Law warns about requests for a borrower's user ID or password.[10]
Best and 1-Cash both publish timing claims, but the words on the sites do not establish who would put funds in your account sooner.[2][6] A submitted form, an initial response, office verification, signing and disbursement are different steps.
If you have a deadline, ask when each lender could assess your documents, arrange the office visit and disburse the loan if approved. Neither website's timing claim is a guarantee for your case. Do not plan a bill payment around a timeline that has not been confirmed.
Check the first due date against your pay date. After rent, food, transport and other repayments, would the instalment still fit without overtime? Ask Best to show the whole schedule, not only a monthly figure. If you need a smaller amount or more time to decide, say so. The Ministry of Law advises borrowers to consider income and existing obligations and borrow only what they need and can repay.[10]
A trip to either branch is one day. Repayment lasts longer, so choose the terms with an ordinary month in mind.
Consider Best if its office and repayment discussion fit your needs
Best publishes a starting rate for eligible applicants, a Singpass Myinfo starting route and an explanation of costs and repayment before signing.[12][2] If North Bridge Road works for you, ask Best to assess your application and show the written terms. Its starting rate is not the rate every borrower will receive or proof it is cheapest for everyone.
Consider 1-Cash if Tampines or Sunday access matters
Its Eastlink Mall office and published Sunday opening could make 1-Cash a reasonable option for a borrower in the east or someone who can only visit on a Sunday.[1][7] Confirm its actual availability and compare the written offer with Best's.
Pause if the offered terms do not fit
If you cannot identify the net payout, full repayment or first due date, ask again. If the instalment crowds out essential expenses, consider borrowing less or not proceeding yet.
If you want a published starting rate and a discussion of your assessed repayment, Best may be worth considering. Its advertised 1.01% monthly (12.12% p.a.) starting rate is for eligible applicants and subject to assessment.[12] Its North Bridge Road office and published explanation process give you a place to ask about your own figures.[1][2]
1-Cash may make the required visit easier if Tampines or Sunday access is decisive, but that convenience does not settle the borrowing cost.[1][7] Ask both lenders for the same amount and repayment period. Choose only after reading the full written terms and deciding the repayment is manageable.
Read Best's personal-loan information and, if useful, try the loan calculator to prepare questions.[12][2] A calculator result is an estimate, not an approved loan offer. Contact Best through its official channel about an assessment and office appointment. An enquiry does not guarantee approval; ask us what you would actually receive and repay before you sign.
Is 1-Cash a licensed moneylender in Singapore?
The Registry dated 1 September 2026 lists 1 - Cash Pte. Ltd. under licence 32/2026 and Best Licensed Moneylender Pte Ltd under 48/2026.[1] Verify the current legal name, licence, address and website against the Registry before applying.
Is 1-Cash open on Sunday?
Its application page lists Sunday opening, but another part of its site gives a different Sunday closing time.[7][6] Confirm the current hours and appointment directly before travelling. Best's published hours say it is closed on Sundays.[2]
Is Best cheaper than 1-Cash?
Best advertises from 1.01% per month (12.12% p.a.) for eligible applicants, subject to assessment.[12] Neither that starting rate nor 1-Cash's office convenience establishes the cheaper offer. Compare assessed written terms for the same amount and period, including any fee, net payout and total repayment.
What if I reconsider after taking a new unsecured personal loan?
For a new qualifying unsecured non-business loan disbursed on or after 15 September 2026, the cooling-off period is three business days after disbursement; the disbursement day, weekends and Singapore public holidays do not count.[10][11] Cancellation is at reduced cost, not necessarily free. You repay the remaining principal disbursed after any upfront approval-fee deduction, plus up to the portion of that fee the lender is allowed to retain; no interest is charged under this framework.[10] Ask for the exact deadline, procedure and amount for your contract.
