Comparing Best (Best Licensed Moneylender Pte Ltd) with 1 Fullerton Credit? Best advertises personal-loan rates from 1.01% per month (12.12% p.a.) for eligible applicants, subject to assessment, and says it explains costs and repayment before you sign.[1][2] That gives you a starting point for a conversation, not a reason to skip the written offer.
1 Fullerton Credit's personal-loan page advertises a 1%–4% interest range. Its CPF-loan page also contains a comparison describing ordinary personal-loan rates as 1%–4% per month.[6][8] The bottom of that advertised range is below Best's advertised starting rate. Neither figure, however, tells you the rate you would qualify for or the full cost of the loan.
Important: Best Licensed Moneylender Pte Ltd publishes this article and is one of the lenders compared. This is not an independent review. Lender information and official guidance were checked on 4 October 2026. The official Registry is as at 1 September 2026 and was downloaded on 4 October 2026. This is general information, not a personal recommendation or a promise of approval.
Best may suit you if its North Bridge Road office is practical and you want to discuss the assessed rate, payout and repayment schedule together. Best publishes its starting rate and an explanation-first process; ask the team how those terms would work for your application.[1][2]
1 Fullerton Credit may be more convenient if you need a Telok Ayer appointment, a weekday evening visit or a Sunday appointment.[3][7] Its lower advertised starting figure is worth checking, but it does not establish the cheaper personal offer. Compare what both lenders would actually put in your contract.
It is understandable to focus on the lowest number. But a starting rate applies only if the lender offers it to you, and interest is only part of the repayment.
Ask Best whether you qualify for its 1.01% monthly starting rate and, if not, which rate applies.[1] Ask 1 Fullerton Credit to confirm the personal-loan rate, any administrative fee and the terms available to you. Its website's lower starting figure does not establish a lowest-market rate, a typical borrower rate or the lowest total cost.[6][8]
Then put the same loan amount and repayment period in front of both lenders. Ask for the net payout, each instalment, first due date and total repayable. The Ministry of Law advises borrowers to compare offers and understand the interest, fees and repayment schedule before signing.[10]
If Best's assessed offer works better for you, the written figures should show why. If 1 Fullerton Credit offers better terms for the same need, acknowledge that difference rather than choosing by the lender's name. The cheaper lender cannot be established without those assessed offers.
Perhaps this is your first loan, or you have read a repayment estimate but still cannot tell how the administrative fee affects the money you receive. Ask Best to show the proposed payout and full schedule together, rather than discussing the monthly rate in isolation.
Best says it explains documents, assessment steps, applicable costs, repayments and contract terms before you decide.[1] That is a useful reason to start a discussion with Best if you want to understand the commitment before signing. It is a published commitment, not an independently measured claim of better service.
1 Fullerton Credit also says it discusses fees before signing.[6] Both lenders must explain the loan in a language you understand and provide a copy of the contract.[10] Take the time to ask about an unfamiliar charge or due date; a friendly conversation is not a substitute for understanding the agreement.
An online application, an in-principle response and money paid out are different stages. Ask which stage a timing statement refers to before you make plans around it.
Best's personal-loan page describes a Singpass Myinfo start and an in-principle decision in under ten minutes during business hours for completed applications. It also states that final approval depends on branch identity verification and assessment, and that approval or a particular timing is not guaranteed.[1]
1 Fullerton Credit's personal-loan page says it processes applications in less than an hour and describes an in-person appointment after an online or telephone start.[6] That is the lender's published process statement, not a promise that your funds will arrive within an hour.
Licensed moneylenders must carry out physical face-to-face identity verification at their approved premises before granting a loan; a fully online transaction is not allowed.[9] If a particular date matters, ask both lenders what documents, verification and contract steps remain. Do not confuse a quick preliminary answer with a completed loan.
Not by itself, although an achievable appointment matters. The Registry as at 1 September 2026 lists Best at 13 North Bridge Road, #01-3984, Golden Beach Vista, Singapore 190013, and 1 Fullerton Credit at 110 Telok Ayer Street, #110-A, Singapore 068579.[3]
Best publishes Monday to Saturday hours of 11am to 7pm, with Sundays and public holidays closed.[2] 1 Fullerton Credit's contact page lists Saturday and Sunday hours of 10.30am to 4.30pm, excluding public holidays.[7] For weekdays, its contact page lists 10.30am to 8pm, while its personal-loan page lists 10am to 8.30pm.[7][6] Both published versions close later than Best, but the discrepancy matters if you are planning an evening visit. Confirm the appointment directly.
If North Bridge Road fits your route, ask Best for the next available assessment appointment. If Sunday is your only free day, 1 Fullerton Credit's published weekend opening may help. A more convenient visit still needs a repayment you can manage.
The first payment may fall before your next salary. A permitted upfront fee may mean the amount received is smaller than the principal in the agreement. A longer repayment period may spread payments out without reducing the full cost.
Before deciding, ask each lender to put these answers together:
How much would reach me after any permitted upfront deduction?
What is the approved rate, and how is the interest worked out?
When is the first payment due, and what are the remaining due dates?
What is the full amount repayable over this period?
What fees and late-payment terms apply?
Best's personal-loan information recommends checking those written terms rather than comparing a headline instalment alone.[1] Official guidance also asks borrowers to consider existing obligations and borrow only what they can repay.[10] Put the proposed instalment beside rent, food, transport and other repayments. If the budget does not work, ask about a smaller amount or reconsider borrowing.
Consider Best if you want to discuss its advertised starting rate, have the costs and schedule explained, and can attend its North Bridge Road office.[1][2][3] The right reason to proceed is that you understand and can manage the assessed offer.
Consider 1 Fullerton Credit if its Telok Ayer location or published evening and Sunday hours solve a practical appointment problem, and its assessed terms work for you.[3][7] Confirm its advertised rate range and the full charges; a lower starting figure does not settle your personal comparison.[6][8]
If neither offer fits, there is no need to force a winner. A loan that crowds out essentials does not become suitable because one lender processes the enquiry quickly.
Read Best's personal-loan information and use it to prepare questions for an assessment.[1] Ask Best to explain the rate offered to you, the amount paid out and the full repayment. An enquiry does not guarantee approval, and you should decide only after understanding the proposed terms.
Is 1 Fullerton Credit a licensed moneylender?
The Registry as at 1 September 2026 lists 1 FULLERTON CREDIT PTE. LTD., licence 96/2026, at the Telok Ayer address and includes 1fullertoncredit.com.sg among its websites.[3] Use the exact legal name and approved details rather than assuming a similarly named business or website is the same entity. Best is separately listed under licence 48/2026.[3]
Is Best cheaper than 1 Fullerton Credit?
Best advertises from 1.01% per month (12.12% p.a.) for eligible applicants, subject to assessment.[1] 1 Fullerton Credit advertises 1%–4% on its personal-loan page and describes personal-loan rates as monthly in the comparison on its CPF-loan page.[6][8] Its lower starting figure may not be your offered rate. Compare assessed offers for the same amount and period, including fees, payout and total repayment; no cheaper winner is established here.
Can I choose just by online reviews?
No. A review about service cannot tell you your approved rate, fee or repayment dates. This comparison does not independently audit or rank the lenders' customer reviews. Use reviews to prepare questions, then use the written offers to compare the actual commitment.
What if I change my mind after disbursement?
Qualifying unsecured non-business loans disbursed on or after 15 September 2026 have a three-business-day cooling-off window after disbursement. The disbursement day, weekends and Singapore public holidays do not count.[10][11] Cancellation is at reduced cost, not necessarily free: you repay the remaining principal disbursed after the upfront approval-fee deduction, plus up to the portion of that fee the lender is entitled to retain, with no interest charged under this framework. The total repaid cannot exceed the principal. The retained approval fee is capped at $50 for loans of $5,000 or less, or 3.5% of principal for loans above $5,000, and cannot exceed the approval fee paid.[10] Ask for the exact cancellation deadline, procedure and amount for your contract.
